“Will my donation actually make a difference?”

This is one of the most frequently asked questions regarding charitable giving, and one that causes many would-be donors to opt out of donating.

This question becomes even more compelling when dealing with donations to IDF soldiers. After all, there are some 175,000 soldiers in the IDF, so what does donating five, 10 or even 100 dollars actually do?

Fortunately, the answer is that every donation to IDF soldiers – no matter how much – does more than you know.

Imagine Doron

""

Imagine an 18-year-old soldier in the Golani Brigade. Let’s call him Doron.

Doron hasn’t had a good night’s sleep in weeks. He’s tired, hungry, and misses home. And worst of all, he now has to do an eight-hour guard shift in the 100-degree Middle Eastern heat.

The shift is passing slowwwwly. He’s anxious. He’s restless. He’s literally counting down the seconds.

But then, out of nowhere, two people approach Doron and hand him an ice cold bottle of Coke and a bag of chips. They thank him for his service and move on.

Do you think that gesture, that deceptively small gesture totaling a few dollars, makes a difference to Doron?

You better believe it does. In fact, it means THE WORLD to him.

Now, Doron is calm. He’s relaxed. He’s happy. He’s touched knowing that people appreciate his hard work, and he is certainly excited to have something tasty to drink and munch on during his shift. He is even more focused and can better perform his important mission of protecting the people of Israel.

Don’t Underestimate the Power of Giving

As every single soldier who ever served in the IDF can confirm, even a small gesture like receiving a snack means so much to them.

And that is why your donation to IDF soldiers, regardless of the amount, makes such a big difference. Like really makes a difference.

Never underestimate the power you have to help an IDF soldier!

Im Tirtzu’s “Snacks for Soldiers”

Every week, activists from the Zionist organization Im Tirtzu travel across Israel to hand-deliver snacks to our soldiers.

The formula is simple: the more contributions we receive, the more we are able to give to IDF soldiers.

Help IDF soldiers by making a donation today!
