Yesterday IMTI’s branch at Hebrew University kicked off the opening lecture of the Program for Zionist Thought.
The first speaker of this semester’s program was Sarah Zoabi, a Muslim Israeli Arab and a proud Zionist (!).
At the conclusion of the lecture, IMTI’s Hebrew University branch coordinator presented Sara Zoabi an award in recognition of her work to integrate minorities into the IDF and Israeli society and for her advocacy on behalf of Israel. Zoabi is the mother of Mohammad Zoabi whose advocacy and social media campaigning for Israel during Operation Protective Edge forced him to leave Israel for several months after his life was threatened.
